James Karl Buck helped free himself from an Egyptian jail with a one-word blog post from his cell phone.

James Karl Buck sent a message using Twitter which helped get him out of an Egyptian jail.

Buck, a graduate student from the University of California-Berkeley, was in Mahalla, Egypt, covering an anti-government protest when he and his translator, Mohammed Maree, were arrested April 10.

On his way to the police station, Buck took out his cell phone and sent a message to his friends and contacts using the micro-blogging site Twitter.

So I’m at work, and I have the urge to drop the kids off at the pool, due to this I took my April issue of Cigar Aficionado with me. As I am reading through the magazine, I come across something completely awkward given the situation. There was a page full of fashionably naked women. Now normally this would not be any issue, but being on the crapper made it kind of weird. I suppose their are people that look at porn while crapping, but it seems so wrong. Oh fuck it, maybe I am just crazy and should be enjoying the surprise boobs.

Yoani Sanchez writes the “Generation Y” blog and gets more than a million hits a month, mostly from abroad - though she has begun to strike a chord in Cuba. On her site and others, anonymous Cubans offer stinging criticisms of their government.

But it isn’t simple. To post her blog, Sanchez dresses like a tourist and slips into Havana hotels with Web access for foreigners. It costs about $6 an hour and she can’t afford to stay long given the price and the possibility someone might catch her connecting without permission.

Crazy Cubans, go roll me some cigars, then you can blog, I’ll even send you the 6 dollars.

Snipes got sniped for 3 years

OCALA, Fla. — Wesley Snipes called on famous friends to vouch for him, highlighted his clean criminal record and even wrote the government $5 million in checks _ all in an effort to convince a judge that his conviction on tax charges should cost him nothing more than home detention and some public service announcements.

None of it worked. The “Blade” actor was ordered to do hard time.

Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday for failing to file tax returns, the maximum penalty _ and a victory for prosecutors who sought to make an example of the action star.

Poor guy, good thing his movie career is basically dead anyways.  Maybe he will get inspired to make My Niggah - A tale of two bitches while his locked up.  Who knows.

Recently a new networking site that is in beta testing right was linked to me. It’s called GamerNook and it kicks ass. Once you log in, you are immersed into everything that is gaming. You earn exp and medals based on what content you provide and also on how many games you own(ed) . Now obviously you can cheat the system saying you own every one of them, but fuck, what ’s the fun in that? I personally have 7 medals and 77 exp . If you at all like checking out new things or just like belonging to every social networking site out there, check it out!

KINSHASA (Reuters) - Police in Congo have arrested 13 suspected sorcerers accused of using black magic to steal or shrink men’s penises after a wave of panic and attempted lynchings triggered by the alleged witchcraft.

Reports of so-called penis snatching are not uncommon in West Africa, where belief in traditional religions and witchcraft remains widespread, and where ritual killings to obtain blood or body parts still occur.

Rumors of penis theft began circulating last week in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo’s sprawling capital of some 8 million inhabitants. They quickly dominated radio call-in shows, with listeners advised to beware of fellow passengers in communal taxis wearing gold rings.
